This week in biology, we presented our collection projects. Many did tree leaves, but a few varied from the group and did a different organism. Some of these include birds, wildflowers, and insects.
To the right i have inlcuded a link to a bird classification system i used during my research.

Week 9
This week in biology we learned about the bodily systems, including: Respiratory, skeletal, excretory, nervous, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, immune, endocrine, integumentary and reproductive.
This is a photograph on which some of the bodily systems
are described.
We also studied the three cycles, the water, carbon
and nitrogen cycle.

Week 8
This week in biology I have learned the anatomy of Annelids and Amphibians through the process of dissection. The dissection was really fun, but it stunk at the same time... literally. This is so because of the "Carolina Perfect Solution" (not very perfect in smell) but it preserves the creatures exceptionally.
This isnt my frog because i forgot to take a picture of it, but
it is very similar in appearance to mine.

Week 6
This week in biology we have studied nature and the organisms that live around us. Tuesday we went outside and were required to write down a total of 10 plants, and a variety of different animals and even insects. This opened my eyes as to how much life is all around us but we don't even notice much of it.
This is a drawing of a futuristic human we made to show
what we thought a human would look like in the year 4013
and the adaptations they would have made by then.

Week 3
This week in biology, I have learned about multiple diseases. Some of these include: Huntington Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, and Type 2 Diabetes. The disease my project was on, Cystic Fibrosis, is a disease where a thick mucus covers the organs of and individual and makes it harder for them to do everyday activities.
This is a website I have used in my studies, you can find any disease very quickly and all the information for it is right there.

Weekly Biology Post
This week in Biology i have learned about alleles, and how putting the genotypes of two parents into a Punnet square can show the probabilaties of what traits are expressed by the offspring. Also, i have learned how to do this with multiple traits at once, called Dihybrid crossing. Lastly, i have learned how to do this with the different parents, XX being the girl and XY being the guy, and this is called X linked genes.
This is a link on dihybrid crossing. Within this page,
there are vidoes other people have made to help
the ones who are failing to grasp the concept of the
Punnett squares.
Punnett squares.
This is a simple representation on the X linked concept.
